Take your career to the next level by joining a unique private bank
– while revolutionizing the modern banking industry
Ndiorah Microfinance Bank is not your typical bank. We are a private bank that brings traditional banking back to the forefront.
Back in the day banking was personalized, built on trust and relationships. But how many people do you know who have a personal relationship with their banker? (None.) How many people do you know who love their bank? (Me neither.) Coincidence? We think not.
Putting the customer first is the new norm in business. And banking has lost its way. Ndiorah Microfinance Bank is leading the way at building a bank that puts the client at the heart of the business.
We recognize that every person’s financial plans are as unique as they are. Which is why we don’t try to fit our clients into a “box”.
As an independent bank, we are not subject to the bureaucracy of most big banks and the profit-first mentality which often comes at a price of compromising business integrity and customers’ interests.
We offer one of the safest and most transparent bank accounts in the world.
Instead of operating in a black box, we safeguard our depositors’ money by keeping a high level of reserves and liquidity, and we let them know where their money is at all times.
In short, we allow our depositors to take back control of their funds.
When making decisions, most banks ask “What’s best for the bottom line?”
We ask “What’s best for the clients?”
Unlike banks that boast decades of history, we do not operate with the Goliath mindset.
We never take part in risky investments. We establish a high standard of conservative lending policies, safe banking practices and radical transparency — the way banking was SUPPOSED to be: safe, transparent and relationship-oriented.
By staying small, we are able to break the existing status-quo of being just-another-number and bring old-fashioned, individualized banking back.
Join our team to revolutionize modern banking.
At Ndiorah Microfinance Bank, you will be surrounded by competent, motivated team members who think out-of-the-box and are inspired by successful business people and investors around the world.
We are not bound by the industry norms and are not afraid to question something just because “it’s always been done that way”.
Get in, and you’ll be working with some of the most inspiring people you’ve met: Prolific and reputable businessman and investor James Hickman, former Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan employees, seasoned lawyers, creative marketers and most of all, effective problem solvers.
You’ll be exposed to a wealth of knowledge. Even from our weekly team meetings, you’ll get to learn about negotiating, financial education, deal structuring, tax efficiencies, setting up international structures, investing and so much more.
We recruit people who are not just brilliant, but those who are positive, motivated, take ownership of goals and work hard to create their own realities. We know that A players attract other A players.
In most jobs, you learn you learn the ropes once, and then keep doing the same things over and In most jobs, you learn you learn the ropes once, and then keep doing the same things over and over again. That’s not how we work at Ndiorah Microfinance Bank.

A-players strive for continuous development. And we look at professional development as a long-term investment in our team and in our business. This is why your development is so important to our organization.

It’s the 21st Century. We understand that people and businesses can operate anywhere in the world – including your home, our office in Puerto Rico, or any paradise location.
Part of our team is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with an amazing office in one of the best parts of the city.
Even before COVID-19, we had members who have been working remotely from all corners of the world, such as the US, London, Chile, Hong Kong, and other locations.
We are familiar to remote work and know how to make it efficient. And we’ve designed our company culture specifically for A-players who don’t need the regular 9 AM-5 PM restrictions to get the job done.
The official company time zone is Atlantic Standard Time (part of the year it’s the same as New York, the rest of the year it’s 1 hour ahead). And most of our clients live in the Americas. But you have a lot of control over your own schedule as long as it doesn’t keep you from delivering excellent work.
Specifics will vary by the role, but as a general example, if you are based in Europe, you should be able to arrange your workday in a way that suits you — As long as you put in at least 40 hours of work per week and are willing to work in the evenings to communicate with the rest of the team as needed.
Most startups have huge ambitions but are run by inexperienced businessmen — and therefore, little or no revenue. If you’ve spent months or years of your life in an exciting new company that never really took off, you already know how frustrating that can be.
Ndiorah Microfinance Bank was founded by a global entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years of investing and business experience on several continents.
He has founded and grown numerous global businesses including Agricultural Land Corporation, one of the largest blueberry and walnut growers in the Southern Hemisphere. He serves on a number of boards of both private and public companies including former Chairman of US Residential Fund, an ASX-listed company.
With his experience, vision and our capable team, we are set to experience significant growth in the next 12 months, and will continue to revolutionize the banking industry for decades.
Imagine collaborating with some of the most intelligent, open-minded and effective people around the world.
You’ll get to learn from experienced entrepreneurs, the owner of a fashion retailer and founder of one of the largest blueberry producers in South America, seasoned value investors, finance and law professionals, creative marketers, and more.
You’ll be exposed to creative problem solving and some of the most refreshing ideas in banking — while having the freedom to do great work without bureaucracy getting in your way.
We’re a bank, built by entrepreneurs. Every day is different – we’re developing new lines of business, constantly improving processes, bringing things into existence things that didn’t exist the day before.
Starting a business is an iterative process, and we’re constantly going through the cycle (i) form a hypothesis, (ii) test the hypothesis, (iii) make adjustments/pivot as needed (or throw out everything and start over).
If you’re not comfortable with constant change, ruthless self-assessment, and uncertainty, this is not the right place for you.
You will never be pigeon-holed into a specific role with upward mobility only possible if someone retires or dies. The only things limiting your professional growth are your skills, your desire, and your ability to execute.
If you are comfortable with uncertainty, are hungry, and enjoy a fun and positive environment that encourages you to routinely break your own performance records, keep reading.
Our core values are things that aren’t related to your role, but rather who you are as a person, and how you operate within the team.
Each team member is expected to exhibit each of these core values:
A large part of our happiness comes from helping others and providing value. That’s why we are so focused on delivering world-class service and providing massive value to solve problems for our clients.
At Ndiorah Microfinance Bank, clients are always our No. 1 priority. They are the lifeblood of our business. We couldn’t have a profitable business without happy and satisfied clients.
Being antifragile is to have the capability to thrive as a result of stressors, shocks, volatility, noise, mistakes, faults, attacks, or failures.
For example, we don’t rely on the FDIC as a “safety-net”. Instead, we adopt and execute on safe practices that are even more conservative than banking regulators call for.
In life, we can’t expect the authorities or the government to have all the answers.
It’s hard to make predictions, especially about the future. We have a fiduciary responsibility to protect our client’s hard-earned savings. That’s why it’s important that our team, like our business, be antifragile.
We believe learning how to solve our own problems is an essential part of life.
If you are the kind of person that needs all of the answers already spelled out, or the instructions handed to you to accomplish a project, then this is not the right company for you.
As a startup, we face unprecedented problems and challenges almost every single day. You need to able to create solutions and solve problems without being prompted.
At Ndiorah Microfinance Bank, we’re attacking a huge problem…
Modern banking as we know it is heavily flawed. We see numerous weaknesses in the banking system — reckless investments of depositors’ money, dishonest practices of charging associated fees, banks keeping little-to-no reserves of their depositors’ savings, banks selling sensitive customer data. The list goes on and on.
This is why everyone on our team needs to have perseverance. We are solving a massive problem that cannot be fixed within a day. We are transforming the banking industry by choosing safe and transparent practices.
Our mission is bigger than any one of us. We understand that it will take time to bring the old financial system into the modern world, but the reward is well worth it.
Are you up for the challenge?
We expect our team members to take ownership and responsibilities of their goals.
As you move towards your goals, you will inevitably encounter problems. Some of those problems will bring you up against your own weaknesses. Take it upon yourself to come up with solutions calmly instead of expecting others to solve it for you.
You will receive the support and guidance you need to execute, but it’s up to you to carry the football down the field.
As a small bank, we are able to move quickly and deliberately, using data to guide our decisions and testing to achieve breakthroughs.
We take a logical and data-driven approach to decision making and measure our effectiveness using quantifiable outcomes and metrics.
At Ndiorah Microfinance Bank, we are committed to lifelong learning. Whether it’s something that will help us perform better at work, understand the financial system better, build better relationships, lead a healthier life, whatever it is…
We believe in seeking improvement, no matter how small the daily progress is. We offer resources and educational courses for our team to continuously improve and develop — both personally and professionally.
You’ll notice that our career listings aren’t like others… because we’re not looking for an average person.
We’ve done our best to both attract the best person for the role, and repel anyone who is not right for it (like any good marketing message should).
And this is just the first step of the process. We followup with a series of responses including a first review, testing, a phone interview, a 2-3 hour in-person interview, and more.
An A-Player will breeze through the application process, whereas a B-Player will not.
